GOLD DUST WATTLE
The Gold Dust Wattle (Acacia Acinacea) is native to South-Eastern Australia and is a hardy, drought and frost resistant shrub that is set apart by it's long stem and bright golden flowers. It blooms in May to September of each year and with up to twenty flowers in each head, it is a popular source of nectar for native birds. The gum exuded from the Wattle tree is also edible and is known to be a tasty source of food for Indigenous hunters and gatherers.
